Welcome to "Island Dream Life".
My name is LisaBongZee and I live in Hawaii.
I love to paint tropical island paradise scenes. Most are imaginary places in my mind.... in my dreams. A perfect far off land, devoid of problems and politics. A simple life, with no alarm clock, no schedule. Where the only work is paddling out for that perfect wave, or fishing in a turquoise lagoon while the cool island breeze sends sweet smelling Plumeria your way.
Having lived in Hawaii most of my life, I have been able to experience some of the "Island Dream Life" of this very special place. Through my paintings, I hope to be able to capture the peaceful, serene Paradise that most of us dream about!

ALOHA !!!!! My name is LisaBongZee and I live in Honolulu, Hawaii. I love to paint. Most of my paintings have to do with the easy laid back island life style. Tiki huts, surf scenes, palm trees, beautiful island lagoons, old style plantation houses, ocean waves, rugged sea cliffs, and tropical flowers and plants are all some of my favorite subjects. Hawaiian, Tahitian, Marquesan, Samoan, and South Pacific themes are what I love.
I enjoy exploring the islands, finding new inspiration. In fact, since I started painting, I have learned to appreciate this islands beauty even more. Noticing the brilliant green shades of the lush mountains during the rainy season, and the dazzling transparent aqua ocean on a calm day. I never take these things for granted, I am truly lucky to be able to live in such a beautiful place.
Hiking the gorgeous Koolau mountains, or heading out in my "Bry´s Kon Tiki" kayak, gives me different perspectives of Oahu, usually in very satisfying ways. I have a million ideas rolling around in my head, just have to make time to get them down on canvas.
Most of my paintings are landscapes. I like to use oil paints, and am also getting into palette knife painting, which is turning out to be quite challenging, but also very fun and rewarding! I like to paint mini canvases, as well. They are usually 4 inch by 4 inch - a little small to hang on a wall, but make great colorful accent pieces when propped up on a miniature easel.
Selected originals of mine have also been made in to greeting cards, magnets, and even computer mousepads. Please email me if you have any questions about my art. I am happy to hear from you.
